Day 01
AIRPORT – PINNAWALA - KANDY
On arrival the client will be met by the Glorious Travels representatives and will be decorated with garlands of “Temple tree flowers”. Thereafter they will be introduced to the local tour guide who will be accompanying them around the Island. Afterwards transfer to Pinnawala.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programe. A unique experience never to be missed (Approx. 2 hours’ to visit) Proceed to kandy - Approx.1 ½ hrs drive to kandy
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
Ever since 4th Century A.D,when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession.

Day 02
KANDY – SIGIRIYA - DAMBULLA- KANDY
After breakfast , proceed to Sigiriya - Approx.2 ½ hrs drive to Sigiriya
Sigiriya
Is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defence the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour (Approx. 02 ¾ - 03 hours’ to visit)
Proceed to Dambulla - Approx. 30 mints. drive to Dambulla.
Dambulla
Is famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here.(Approx. 1 ½ hrs time to visit)
Afterwards leave for Kandy, Approx. 2 ½ hrs. drive to Kandy.
Spice Garden at Matale
You will see many spice gardens at Matale where Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper Creepers and all other spice trees, plants and creepers are planted for visitors to see them. Spice products are also available for those who would like to buy them. At all Spice Gardens visitors are taken round explaining each tree and plant and at the end explaining the use of them in food preparations.
Batik Factory where you can see the manufacture of beautiful Batik prints. These shops contain a wide variety of Batik items.

Day 03
KANDY – PERADENIYA – NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast visit Peradeniya botanical gardens - Approx. 15 mints. drive.
Royal Botanical Gardens
147 acres in extent: started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of tree and plants. Some and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world. Spice garden and Orchid House are popular with Tourists.(1 ½ - 2 hrs visit)
Afterwards leave for Train ride up to Nanu Oya
NuwaraEliya
The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.Commence Nuwara Eliya City Tour. Thereafter proceed to Ratnapura - Approx. 4 ½ hrs. drive.On the way visit Devon and St. Clair Water falls and make a visit to a rubber plantation see the rubber manufacturing process if time permits.

Day 04
RATNAPURA – SINHARAJA FOREST - HIKKADUWA
Early morning proceed to Sinharaja for Trekking.
With packed breakfast leave for a trekking at Sinharaja rain forest which will be around 3 hours.Singharaja is the only “World Heritage Site” Rain Forest in Sri Lanka, with a very high rate of bio-diversity. The vegetation is tropical wet evergreen forest and the area under thereserve is 11,187 hectares. Out of the 331 woody trees and lianas identified 192 (60%) areendemic at Sinharaja. Regarding Fauna 141 bird species recorded here and about 28 are endemic (34 for the entire country), Butterflies 65 species (1endemic), Fishes 10 (07 endemic), Amphibians 19 (08 endemic),Reptiles & Snakes 29 (14 endemic), and Mammals 40 (07 endemic). Sinharaja is the only relatively undisturbed rain forest of any considerable size and many of the plants are very rare and are represented by only one individual of its kind in a large area.Visit the gem museum or gem mine in Ratnapura
Stone mine
Sri Lanka has been famous from time immemorial for the great variety and abundance of gem minerals of extremely high quality and uniqueness, earned it the name Ratna Deepa meaning GemIsland. Nature in her bounty has chosen the bosom of Sri Lanka to enshrine some of her rarest treasures. Significant gem fields had been known from ancient times. Blue Sapphires, Cat’s Eyes, Alexandrites, Rubies, Star stones found embedded in layer of gravel and sand, in river beds, marshes, fields or accumulated at the foot of hills have made Sri Lanka the renowned island for gems.

Day 05 HIKKADUWA – GALLE - COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to Galle - Approx. 30 mints drive.
Galle
Fort Visit Galle Dutch Fort, that was built in the 16thCentury and resplendent with heritage sight. Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District.Galle was known as Gimhathiththa(although IbnBatuta in the 14th century refers to it as Qali) before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
Glass Bottom Boat Trip in Hikkaduwa
Beach in Sri Lanka is one such bay which you cannot miss out. Hikkaduwa located about 16 km from Galle, is one of the most popular beach resorts of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's only marine sanctuary is located here. Hikkaduwa is the place for underwater delights where there is a marine sanctuary abundant with rare corals and tropical fish. The underwater world of colourful corals and beautiful shoals of fish can be explored by taking a ride in a glass bottom boat.. It is an ideal place for nature lovers with its abundant corals and tropical fishes.
Mask Factory
Close to Hikkaduwa, in Ambalangoda is a popular masks factory. They specialise in making traditional Sri Lankan masks carved from wood. Masks from this factory are used for many parades, plays, and other traditional activities. The skill of the mask makers here are unmatched by any other mask maker in the country
Turtle Hatchery
The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda beach is one of 18 turtle hatcheries along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The centre is located in the South Western coastal village of Kosgoda and was establised in 1981. It is also very popular as all five species of turtles that visit Sri Lanka nest in Kosgoda. This is not so with many of the other hatcheries around the island whose beaches host only some of the species.The centre functions mainly as a hatchery and makes huge efforts to increase the rate of hatching, and survival of baby turtles in their very initial stages. However the Care centre also works on sick or injured adults; treating them and releasing them back into the ocean. They also run volunteer programs and awareness programs for local and international visitors. Leaving for Colombo
